PC sound coming through your phone

If your PC sounds are being played through your Internet phone and not through your speakers, there is a simple cure. Please follow the instructions below.

Your Internet phone is separate and independent of your PC audio and you can (for example) play a CD in media player and place a call at the same time.

Opening your Sounds and audio device properties

Follow the steps below.

Click Start

Then Control Panel

Next . . .

Double-click on "Sounds, Speech and Audio Devices".

Then on "Sounds and Audio Devices".

Your audio settings dialog box will open.

Click on the Audio tab.

Under sound playback, click on the down arrow and select the device that you want to use for your PC audio.

In most cases there will only be two choices, as your speakers are not working, select the other device.

Check "Use only default devices".

Click OK.
