Debugging you Personal Phone Gateway (PPG)

Make sure you have ver.8.14 or up. Click here to download update software.

Reboot your PC and test again. The problem may go away!

 

To help us to debug your PPG's Problem, please

provide us below information:

 

1) Is your IP Phone Center/USB Phone working ok?

 

Before debug your PPG, please make sure your IP Phone Center/USB phone Phone is working ok.

Can you make call to our voice demo?

2)  What is the color of PPG's Icon in your Windows system tray (lower right hand corner of your screen).
 

Yellow with a P on top: your PPG is on line and ready to take call. If you don't know how to make call, click here for the instruction.
Grey or Yellow without P  on top: Your PPG is not on line. You may behind firewall/router. Click here to debug
Error message said "no PPG found": Your PPG may not install successfully. Click here to debug

 

3)  If the PPG's icon is yellow with a P on top, what are the status light 1 and 2 color in the dialog box
 
Green: connection is ok

Red: Connection has problem. Click here to debug

If 1 or 2 is green, you should able to receive call
 

 

IF 1 or 2 is green, you should able to receive call


 

4) When someone make call via your PPG, did your  dialog box display the caller ID and the dialing phone number?


 

5) When the call is connected,  what is the connection mode? the information is on the top of the dialog box in the caller side. If caller are not using Super Tunnel Mode (1) or (2), either your or the caller setup is wrong, please click here for more information

 


If you still have problem, please email support@cuphone.com above 5 questions answer, your PPG's email ID and below two log files :

  • VICSxxxx.log file in your Peronsal Phone Gateway directory
  • run our connection tester and email the report.log in connectiontest directory
