Installation of the IP Phone Center

Installation of your IP Phone Center application

	IMPORTANT - do NOT plug in the USB cable - install the IP Phone Center application first.
	Choose your installation, CD or web download.
	Once you have installed the IP Phone Center application you can then plug in the USB cable from your Internet phone.

CD installation

Your Internet phone will have shipped with an installation CD.

DO NOT plug in your Internet phone

For WinXP, reboot your PC before installation

The serial number is on your hardware. You will need the serial number during installation

Simply put the CD into your CD drive and the CD will autorun and install.

Follow the on-screen installation instruction.

Note: If you have installed our demo software, please un-install it first before install the new software

Web download and installation

Make sure you close IP Phone Center application in system tray before install the new release

You can download the latest version of IP Phone Center from our web site. Follow the instructions below;

Download IP Phone Center (Note: this version only works with the CuPhone Hardware, for a software only version click here;)

DO NOT plug in your Internet phone

Go to the directory where you downloaded the file to

Double click on the file you downloaded

Follow the install procedure

Once installation is complete, plug the USB cable from your Internet phone into your PC and follow below instruction to complete the installation

Running IP Phone Center for the first time and placing your first call

Double click on the IP Phone Center icon on your desktop to start IP Phone Center.

My information

When you run IP Phone Center for the first time it will ask you to enter your information.

Please enter your;
	Name
	Email ID this is only used for IP Phone Center and does not have to be a valid email address, it only has to be unique among users of IP Phone Center and the PPG.
	Location
Your IP address will be set by IP Phone Center. Click update when you have finished. If you ever need to change your information, click Tools > My information.

Placing your first call

After you have clicked on Update, you will see your Buddy List. If you need to open Buddy List either double click on the IP Phone Center icon on your desktop or the IP Phone Center icon in your tray.

Click on the the Voice Demo entry in your Buddy List to select it.
	Then click on the call button to place your call

During your call

When your call has been connected you will be able to adjust both the speaker and microphone volumes for the most pleasant call quality.

The Speaker volume control will adjust how loud the person calling you is.

The Microphone volume control should be set so that during normal conversation you get the occasional red square.
